Boozehounds To Open in Palm Springs

With a vibrant design and a welcoming atmosphere, pet-friendly Boozehounds is set to open in Palm Springs this month. The dining, cafe and bar concept will dish up a unique food and beverage menu, including options for pups.

With Executive Chef Corey Baker at the helm, Boozehounds will offer globally-inspired, locally influenced dishes, including gluten-free and vegan options. Signature dishes include miso Chilean fish and chips, sweet “spot prawn” shrimp ceviche, adobo chicken and many others. Chef Baker has spent nearly 20 years training in the art of Japanese cooking and has a knack for combining fresh produce with Asian flavors.

Beverage Director Justin Gordon brings Boozehounds’ seasonal commitment to the craft cocktail menu with tipples like Aunt Donna’s Dirty Poodle with Akashi Single Malt Whisky, Nigori sake, house-made yuzu-Meyer lemon shrub, house-made miso-mirin syrup and chocolate bitters; the San Jacinto with Contratto Aperitivo, house-made locally foraged pine bitters, prosecco and Topo Chico; and Kitty Mingling Mango Sour with Haku Japanese Vodka, house-made pineapple-coconut shrub, mango puree and farm egg white. A variety of craft beers, wines available by the glass or bottle and frozen, crushed ice and spritz cocktails round out the Boozehounds beverage bill.

The design of the 3,812-sq.-ft. restaurant, which also has a spacious glass atrium and outdoor lounge, combines desert influences and mid-century design with a laidback appeal. The indoor-outdoor restaurant, with its playful wallpaper, velvet booths and eclectic details, will feature a mix of communal seating for both large and small groups, as well as individual bar seating,

Best of all, Boozehounds plans to host pet adoption drives with the Palm Springs Animal Shelter, and support fundraisers with local charities to raise awareness on animal fostering and adoption. The restaurant will be open seven days a week for coffee, lunch, brunch and dinner. For more information, visit www.boozehoundsps.com.
