Sydney Ranee Performance
February 21 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Loews Santa Monica honors the contributions, legacy and achievements of Black Americans across the nation’s history and society. On Tuesday, Feb. 21, from 6 to 9 p.m., powerhouse artist Sydney Ranee will play a mix of New Orleans funk, soul and jazz.
At the bar, guests are invited to enjoy a Mint Julep in honor of Cato Alexander, known as “America’s First Celebrity Bartender.” Alexander, born enslaved in 1780, opened Cato’s Tavern in 1810, creating a name for himself throughout the country and serving world-renowned cocktails. Actor Tyrone Power described Cato, “For Cato is a great man foremost amongst cullers of mint for julep and second to no man as a compounder of cocktail.”
