moments.” Learn about Cammy Webber…

Hometown: Riverside, CA

First job: Manny Berz Jewelers (my parent’s jewelry store) in Riverside, CA. Steve and Skip Robbins purchased our store in 1983, and I continued on as part of the team.

Favorite ways to spend your free time in CA: There is nothing I would rather do than spend time with my husband of 45 years and my family. That would include camping trips, cooking family meals with my mom and siblings, enjoying special time with my sons and grandchildren, and reaping the rewards of our garden and citrus trees.

Your biggest accomplishment and why: My biggest accomplishment is that I have left an indelible memory with others after their engagement-ring purchase–then wedding-band purchase, numerous anniversaries and holiday purchases. After they’ve brought their children and grandchildren for me to meet, introduced me to their family and friends, being a part of their love story and continuing relationships with them even after 35 and 40 years.

The biggest obstacle you overcame: The biggest obstacle I have had to overcome was to continue the passion I have for my business, even after my father passed away in 1979. He was my mentor and taught me to always treat everyone the same. Never judge. His love for the jewelry business and connecting with everyone who walked into our store instilled in me my passion for the same things.

Someone who inspires you and why: My husband, John. He always cares about family, friends and strangers. He’s the go-to guy when you want an opinion or need a good laugh. He volunteered for 30 years with Riverside Special Olympics. Our son competed in many of the sports events. It was important to my husband to ensure that our son was coached in a positive manner, along with all of the athletes. Without his love, support and encouragement, I would not have been able to have the success in my career that I have. He held down the fort at home. He is my best friend!

Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Be yourself, be real and honest. Listen more than you talk. Nurture your relationship with your guests. Seek out a good mentor.

Favorite quote: “Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt.” (Special Olympic motto, Eunice Shriver.)

Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: I am an avid baseball fan! Especially for our Angels and Dodgers!

What makes someone fabulous: Someone who brings joy and positivity; puts a smile on your face and can make you laugh.
