How did your love story begin? Brandon was living in Austin, TX, and flew in for a San Diego Chargers game in 2007. Brandon’s best friend was a mutual friend of Brooke’s and planned a night out with a large group. We met officially at Jimmy O’s in Del Mar, but when we connected we learned that we lived in the same building and San Diego State and had many classes together so we were both familiar. We fell in love over the course of a year in a long-distance relationship.
Favorite thing about one another: Brandon: Brooke’s smile and easygoing vibe. Brooke: Brandon’s love for the family.
Favorite date night: With two boys and demanding jobs, date night is hard! If we could pick an ideal one tomorrow absolutely we would be in Little Italy. It is our favorite neighborhood. We lived there for a few years before kids. Beer, wine and Italian food, followed by a walk on the downtown harbor.
Favorite tradition you have as a couple: We absolutely love traveling every year for Thanksgiving. We recently started doing Cabo San Lucas. We also visit Montana once a year.
What does your happily ever after look like? Happily ever after is seeing our two boys out in the world being happy and kind to others. We will absolutely live in San Diego forever but maybe a nice home in a quiet place. Our future goals are finding more free time to be with each other alone, being healthier and giving more time to others.
