In what ways is your business considered eco-friendly? Wander + Ivy was founded on the commitment to avoid wasting an entire bottle of wine after only enjoying one glass. To offer a sustainable, single-serve wine option, Wander + Ivy partners with wine producers around the world who grow certified-organic grapes and use no artificial or synthetic chemicals during the growing process. When designing the Wander + Ivy packaging, my team and I took time to consider what sustainable packaging could look like for a single-serve wine, which led us to develop our patented, premium glass bottle that consumers can repurpose or recycle.
What inspired you to become an eco-minded entrepreneur? My previous career was in private wealth management. I had the pleasure of managing wealth for successful entrepreneurs, specifically in the food and beverage and health and wellness industries. I was constantly inspired by the innovative and sustainable brands they were building. I left my finance career to pursue a similar path in the wine category.
For readers who want to be more eco-conscious in their everyday lives, what do you recommend? I recommend people consider the sustainability of the brands they are purchasing from. To be an eco-conscious business means finding ways to innovate and incorporate sustainable practices as much as possible. As a disruptive wine brand, we’re proud to set an example in the single-serve space.
What are your long-term goals for Wander + Ivy and its impact? My goal is to build a brand that consumers across the country know and love. We plan to continue to increase brand awareness and distribution across the country, while delivering the best premium, organic single-serve wine. I believe our focus on creating sustainable products as well as our charitable giving will have a positive impact on the environment and our communities.
