Fabulous Eco-Winemakers: Part 3

Brandon Lapides of Armida Winery

Brandon Lapides of Armida Winery

Tell us about the sustainable and eco-friendly practices at the vineyard: When we became a part of this incredible industry, we thought about how important it is to give back to the earth. Many of the vineyards we source from are dry-farmed, and we sparsely use the drip-irrigation on our own vineyards, letting Mother Nature take care of the watering.

We source, re-purpose and recycle natural corks for our bottles. We practice sustainable farming by using organic products for pest/weed control (no Roundup!). We ship our wines in fully recyclable materials (never using Styrofoam), and love to repurpose our bottles for candles locally made in Sonoma County!

Tell us about the varietals you make: Armida wines showcase the unique terroir of Sonoma County and Monterey County, sourcing from several historical vineyards. Zinfandel is our specialty, but you will also find outstanding Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Grenache, unique blends and more at Armida.

What are a few wines that readers should try right now?
