Hometown: I grew up in beautiful Barcelona city.
First job: My first job was in summer as a prep cook in a restaurant when I was 15.
Favorite ways to spend your free time in CA: I love to visit farmer’s markets, local producers, check out the food scene and ride my bicycle.
Your biggest accomplishment and why: When we achieved the second Michelin star in Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona, I was part of the opening team and meant a lot.
The biggest obstacle you overcame: Moving to San Francisco without a job, house or plan.
Someone who inspires you and why: Patrick Ponsaty, a French Master Chef that I had the opportunity to work with in San Diego. Amazing chef with an outstanding background. He took me under his wing during difficult times in my life.
Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Become really good in some type of cuisine, be humble, listen a lot and don’t be afraid to try and fail.
