Hometown: Moved From San Francisco to San Diego at age 5. I’m definitely a Cali girl.

First job: Cleaning houses with my mother.

Favorite ways to spend your free time in CA: My free time is pretty limited with building a business and raising kids. I enjoy gardening, hiking and reading plays when I can.

Your biggest accomplishment and why: My 5- and 17-year-old children. They are also the reason I find my work so important. I’m able to teach them perseverance, entrepreneurship and that success requires being willing to fail.

The biggest obstacle you overcame: Not knowing what I didn’t know. And I’m still overcoming it.

Someone who inspires you and why: Life coach Brooke Castillo. She has taught me several light bulb moments. Such as, we are all born with the same amount of worthiness and happiness is a 50-50 game. Life is equally good and bad.

Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Education is important. But at some point you need to take action and trust the process. The best training in this industry and most industries is hands on.

Favorite quote: “We must overcome the notion that we must be regular…it robs you of the chance to be extraordinary,” –Uta Hagen

Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: My father faked his death when I was 5 and fled the U.S. This experience shaped my choices about honesty and integrity and how I wanted to show up for those around me.

What makes someone fabulous: Authenticity, embracing yourself, showing strength, flexibility and kindness.
