Global Cuisine Series at The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay

The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay, has brought back its renowned Global Cuisine Series, a dining experience curated by culinary leaders and featuring visits from Michelin-starred chefs from around the world. 

A five-star oceanfront resort in the San Francisco Bay Area, The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay, has reinstated a fan-favorite dining experience, the Global Cuisine Series. The series was created and is overseen by the resort’s culinary veterans, including Executive Chef Roberto Riveros-Leyton and Chef de Cuisine Francisco Simon of Navio, the resort’s fine dining restaurant. 

Each event will feature a dining experience curated and led by a Michelin-starred chef. The first guest chef, Chef Miguel Navarro of Michelin-starred Es Fum, the signature dining destination at the St. Regis Mardavall Resort in Mallorca, Spain, will make his debut on Feb. 2. Chef Navarro has a wealth of knowledge, with most of his restaurants having two or three Michelin stars. From Feb. 2 to Feb. 5, Chef Navarro will prepare his Mediterranean-style cuisine, inspired by the oceanic bounty Half Boon Bay receives from nearby farm communities and aquaculture. The menu was curated in collaboration with Chefs Riveros-Leyton and Simon, featuring seven courses for $249 per person for dinner.

“For this first installment of the 2023 Global Cuisine Series, we look forward to collaborating as Chef Francisco, Chef Miguel and myself complement each other nicely, have the same culinary training, and a strong history working together in Barcelona. We are particularly interested in fusing our California flavors with Spanish and Mediterranean influences and modern technique with the healthy bounty that serves our Half Moon Bay, California location,” says Chef Riveros-Leyton, in a press release. 

Other culinary stars slated to make an appearance include Chef Rachel Haggstrom of The Restaurant at JUSTIN Vineyards & Winery, a one Michelin-starred restaurant, on April 20; and Chef Pepe Moncayo of Cranes, a one Michelin-star restaurant, on Nov. 2.
