Whether you’re craving a casual holiday feast (like a pancake breakfast while wearing your cozy jammies!) or an all-out, decadent spread with tenderloin and tipples, reserve your spot at these California restaurants this holiday season.

Pendry West Hollywood is ringing in its first holiday season with a fun-filled event. On Dec. 17 at 4 p.m., Merois general manager Byron Lazaroff-Puck and Executive Pastry Chef François Behuet host a Holiday Cocktail and Cookie Decorating Class. Join in creating a classic holiday cocktail for adults, and cookie decorating for children at Ospero. Adult tickets are $35 and children’s tickets are $15.

Located in San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter, Nason’s Beer Hall at Pendry San Diego will be decked to the nines with holly jolly, over-the-top holiday decor. Plus, dig into festive cocktails, bites, merriment and–of course–frosty mugs of beer at Nason’s through Jan. 2.

Pancakes and Pajamas Holiday Brunch at Provisional Kitchen

On Dec. 18, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., join Pendry San Diego for a festive Pancakes and Pajamas Holiday Brunch at Provisional Kitchen. Enjoy a pancake board to share for the table with toppings and accompaniments, brunch favorites and a pair of complimentary children’s holiday pajamas from P.J. Salvage. Tickets are $35 per child (ages 3 to 12), including the pajamas.

Celebrate the season at Serẽa Coastal Cuisine, and enjoy Christmas Eve and Christmas Day by the Sea. Nestled just steps away from the shores of Coronado, gather with loved ones and indulge in an upscale, sustainable, sea-to-table culinary experience on Serea’s expansive, two-tiered patio. On both days from 3 to 8 p.m., take advantage of Serea’s extensive menu of sustainable seafood and prime meats and give way to James Beard Smart Catch Leader and Executive Chef JoJo Ruiz’s house specials, which will include a 24-oz. prime ribeye and end the meal with a cranberry mousse dome, served with spiced apple compote and vanilla cremeux. 

James Beard Smart Catch Leader and Executive Chef JoJo Ruiz of Lionfish in Downtown San Diego will feature a Wagyu filet steak and lobster special, topped with creamed horsey spinach purée, crispy potato gratin and LF1 sauce, for the holidays, along with a chocolate yule log for dessert. 

Hotel del Coronado

Dine in the iconic Crown Room at Hotel del Coronado on Christmas and Christmas Eve and indulge in a lavish holiday buffet of traditional favorites–plus a few tasty surprises. Marvel at thousands of sparkling lights, garlands and stunning holiday décor, including a two-story lobby tree in The Del’s newly restored lobby. Plus, through Jan. 2, Hotel Del offers plenty of specialty holiday programming and photo ops like holiday movies on the beach, pictures with Santa, elf deliveries to guest rooms with holiday goodies and much more.

Decked out for the season, Harrah’s Resort Southern California‘s lobby will be transformed into a winter wonderland, with Santa’s sleigh and festive trees sprinkled throughout. Celebrate Christmas with family at The Café for the Merry Turkey Dinner, ‘ritas Cantina for a classic Chile Relleno En Nogada and Fiore for a divine 24-oz. Wagyu beef filet mignon.

Rancho Valencia Resort and Spa welcomes guests for the ultimate Christmas feast on Dec. 25 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Menu highlights include an expansive cold seafood station, cheese and charcuterie, house-made cavatelli, mero sea bass and wild mushroom risotto, with a specialty kid’s buffet, too. The magic of the season will be complete with live music, seasonal sweets, horse-drawn carriage rides, cookie decorating and carolers. Or, enjoy Rancho Valencia’s holiday cuisine at home, with the customizable Christmas to-go option. Orders must be placed online by Dec. 19 at 5 p.m.

Fairmont San Francisco

Through Jan. 2, Fairmont San Francisco hosts a decadent holiday tea–a tradition since 1907–with seatings at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Invite family and friends for pots of fine loose-leaf tea over house-made scones, tea sandwiches, fruit-topped pastries and delectable sweets. Reservations are available here. While there, enjoy the beautifully transformed hotel lobby, the highlight of which is a two-story giant gingerbread house adorned in hundreds of pounds of See’s Candies.

ARLO‘s chef Josh Mouzakes will serve of an authentic “taste of place,” and for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, a selection of his holiday favorites, like an air-dried Christmas goose and Santa’s Tapas Trio. Indulge in a hand-crafted cocktail, like a Spiked Brown Butter Egg Nog, and a selection of rich desserts, too.

Head to Sally’s Fish House & Bar at Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego to indulge in a plated Christmas Day dinner including salt-and-herb-crusted prime rib, grilled jumbo prawns, caramelized cipollini onions, creamy herb horseradish sauce and much more, as well as seasonal craft cocktails.

The Front Yard at The Garland will be offering a unique take on Christmas favorites. On Dec. 25 from noon to 8 p.m., the North Hollywood property’s signature restaurant will offer a menu filled with comfort foods including entrees of oven-roasted prime rib and turkey breast with mushroom and rye stuffing and canned yams. Additionally, three delicious appetizers and three decadent desserts will round out the feast.

Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club in Dana Point brings the SoCal magic of the holidays to guests, offering seasonally-inspired Christmas dinners at AVEO Table + Bar, Bourbon Steak Orange County and Monarch Bay Beach Club, in addition to a Private Christmas Dinner Celebration to indulge in a multi-course holiday meal with friends and family. Plus. guests and locals can fill their holiday table with the spirit (and sweets) of the season thanks to the pastry team’s custom-order holiday desserts, available for pick-up at Part + Parcel. 

At Surf & Sand Resort in Laguna Beach, enjoy a four-course Christmas spread featuring the finest coastal cuisine at the signature restaurant Splashes. For a little extra extravagance, the resort is offering a luxurious balcony experience with their elevated Sunset, Caviar, Champagne & Cheer amenity. Included in the experience, the culinary team prepares Ossetra Caviar and Buckwheat Blini with all of the proper accouterments including crème fraîche, chives, egg white, hard boiled egg yolk and red onion. Additionally, three exquisite Champagnes pair perfectly with the best seats in the house including Ruinart Brut Rosé, Perrier-Jouët Brut “Belle Epoque” and Louis Roederer Brut “Cristal.”

Tangerine Room at The Westin Anaheim Resort is offering a Christmas Day buffet from 12:30 to 7 p.m. Dig into a seafood display, a carving station, a kid’s station, a sweets table and much more.
