Marisi to Open in La Jolla

Marisi, offering Italian hearth cooking, is set to open August 2022 in La Jolla. After more than two years in the works, Marisi will impress guests with its lineup of handmade pasta, classic cocktails and more.

The team behind Marisi La Jolla includes Executive Chef Chad Huff (Providence in Hollywood, Felix Trattoria in Venice and Broad Street Oyster Co. in Malibu) and Bar & Spirits Creative Director Beau du Bois (three Michelin-starred The Restaurant at Meadowood).

Guests can expect a delicious bill of fare with handmade pasta, along with wood-fired dishes from the hearth. The dishes come to life with specially selected authentic Italian ingredients, like balsamic vinegar from Modena IGF, olive oil from Sicily and Pasini Italian flour, and La Jolla’s finest homegrown produce.

The drink program will be just as impressive, with an array of Italian aperitivos, homemade limoncello, tableside martinis, rare spirits, unique Italian wines and an Italian Pilsner brewed specifically for Marisi. To complement the bar program is Marisi’s delicious proprietary Italian espresso blend, a nod to Italy’s after-dinner culture.

A beautiful space to gather with loves ones, Marisi will exude romance, sophistication and liveliness. Noteworthy design elements include the 10-ft. brick and tiled Italian hearth, expansive sunlit patio and a private dining room called “The Lemon Room.” Marisi’s color palette transports you to the Italian coast, spotlighting hues of yellows, greens, blues and pinks.
