The Marine Room Welcomes High Tide Dinner Series 

Kicking off June 4, the iconic The Marine Room in La Jolla welcomes a pair of bucket-list dining options to coincide with the high tide. Both dinners are set against the backdrop of the rising tides, which can reach up to seven feet, crashing against the restaurant windows.

The High Tide Dinner Series, which continues monthly through Sept. 17, provides a truly breathtaking backdrop for guests seeking a dining adventure at The Marine Room in La Jolla.

“The Marine Room continues its tradition of celebrating our unique location and the moon’s influence on our ocean tides,” says Executive Chef Michael Vaughn, in a press release. “These experiences honor the restaurant’s culinary roots, showcasing a fresh take on traditions and using the best ingredients that complement our exceptional setting.”


There are two High Tide Dinner Series options:

Rising Tide Dining, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.: Experience the rising tide while enjoying a limited à la carte menu or a three-course dining experience by Chef Alex Pailles priced at $125 per person with an optional $85 wine pairing or $65 cocktail pairing. 

High-Tide Dining, 6 p.m.: Indulge in a specially curated four-course dinner by Chef Pailles, accompanied by live music and a sunset toast. Options include a Chef’s Table Experience for additional courses, a sommelier-paired wine experience, premium window seating and a keepsake to commemorate your evening. The four-course offering is priced at $165 per person with an opportunity to upgrade to the Chef’s Table for $250 per person which includes a wine pairing and a gift. (Add wine pairing for $85 or cocktail pairing for $65).

The Rising Tide and High Tide Dinners will be available on June 4 to June 6; July 3 to July 5; Aug. 17 to Aug. 19; and Sept. 15 to Sept. 17. For reservations, visit
