California Wine Festival Returns to Huntington Beach

A meal without wine is like a day without sunshine. Luckily, there will be plenty of all three at the California Wine Festival, which will be returning to heavenly Huntington Beach on Friday, Nov. 11, and Saturday, Nov. 12.

California is known for its vast vineyards and wonderful wines. Accordingly, at California Wine Festival, nearly 200 wines from more than 50 wineries across the Golden State will be showcased and available for sipping. While enjoying ripe wines from various wine producers and gourmet foods from many of Orange County’s fine dining restaurants, guests can also look forward to lifestyle exhibits, live entertainment and expansive coastal views.

The festivities kick off on Friday evening with a sparkling Sunset Rare & Reserve Tasting. This is an exclusive event for devoted wine lovers to savor while overlooking the ocean at the opulent Paséa Hotel & Spa. To complement the top-notch wines, top chefs will provide delectable hot and cold small snacks. Additionally, guests can participate in a silent auction and place bids on sought-after prizes like exotic wines, excursions and restaurant vouchers.

Then, on Saturday, the hotel’s interior and outdoor areas will host the Beachside Wine Festival, continuing the expansive wine tasting experience. Aside from high-end California wines and local artisan brews, there will be plenty of delicious cheeses, breads, fresh fruits, seafood and sweets to create the perfect pairing. At the same time, through one-on-one talks and tastings with professionals in the food and beverage industries, this seaside afternoon event will provide guests with knowledge, discoveries and new favorites.

And it wouldn’t be the California Wine Festival without an epic after-party. Pacific City, a center for shopping, eating and entertainment located next to Paséa Hotel & Spa, will hold the official after-party at the Old Crow Smokehouse. Live music and drink discounts will help get the party started. After a weekend of relaxation, guests will be revived thanks to live music. At Friday’s Sunset Rare & Reserve Tasting, Kalina & Kiana will provide music to set the scene. The main stage of the Saturday Beachside Wine Festival will feature sultry melodies from Adam Lasher and surf sounds from Matt Hurray.
