From an underwater egg hunt (really!) to a giant egg-painting competition, the lineup of Easter events in San Diego is not to be missed. Hop to it!

April 1: Belmont Park Underwater Easter Egg Hunt

Belmont Park hosts its annual Underwater Easter Egg Hunt at Plunge Pool–one of the most unique Easter events in San Diego–on Saturday, April 1, from 9:30 a.m. to noon, featuring floating and sunken eggs in the shallow end of the pool for youngsters and a more challenging egg hunt in the deep end for older children and adults. Post-hunt, each child will receive an Easter goodie bag and a complimentary day pass to return to Plunge San Diego at another time. Plus, participants can mingle with the Easter bunny and enjoy dry-land Easter egg hunts, bouncy houses and and more.
Cost: General admission tickets are available from $20 to $30; VIP tickets are available from $40 to $50. VIP tickets include one premium Easter basket and exclusive access to the VIP deck with snacks and refreshments.

April 1: Easter 2023 at Seaport Village

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 1 at Seaport Village, kids are invited to take a photo catching a wave with Seaport’s very own Beach Bunny. While there, families can visit Seaport Village’s dozens of shops and eateries to pick up some goods and treats for their Easter baskets.

April 1 to April 9: Elmo’s Eggstravaganza

Sesame Place San Diego hosts its all-new Elmo’s Eggstravaganza, taking place April 1 to April 9. Theme park guests can enjoy Sesame Place’s exciting everyday attractions in addition to special Easter fun with everyone’s favorite furry friends dressed in their holiday best. Take photos with the Easter bunny, enjoy an interactive Easter egg scavenger hunt and shake it out during the Furry Friends Bunny Hop Dance Party.

April 4: Easter Eggstravaganza at Parkway Plaza

Parkway Plaza in El Cajon hosts it annual Easter Eggstravaganza on Tuesday, April 4, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Four local elementary schools will compete in a live giant egg-painting competition in the center court for a chance to win a $500 donation to their arts program. Plus, guests can enjoy face painting, an Easter egg hunt (participants will receive an egg passport and hunt for hidden eggs), craft stations, bunny hop sack races and characters roaming around the mall, making for an exciting Easter event in San Diego. Those who complete the passport will enter for a chance to win amazing prize packs. Plus, the Easter bunny will be at Parkway Plaza and available for photos from March 25 until April 8.
Cost: Free, with the exception of Easter bunny photos.

April 5: One Paseo Easter Fun

Stop by One Paseo on Wednesday, April 5, from 2 to 5 p.m. for a creative art session with the New Children’s Museum. The free art kit gives kids all the supplies and creative freedom they need to create a portrait of themselves with the Easter bunny. Plus, stop by SusieCakes at One Paseo to pick up Easter-inspired sweets for your baskets, including SusieChick Luscious Lemon Cake, frosted sugar cookie Peeps, and DIY frosted sugar-cookie decorating kits with six bunnies and six chick cookies some holiday fun in the kitchen. These treats will be available starting March 30.
