Gorjana was founded in 2004 by husband-and-wife duo Jason and Gorjana Reidel on the floor of their apartment. Less than 10 years later, the coastal-inspired jewelry brand will grow to 33 standalone brick and mortar stores in 2022. After receiving multiple requests for a store in North San Diego, gorjana opens its first Carlsbad location.
“Carlsbad is a cool beachside town that’s experiencing incredible growth that we’re excited to be a part of, and the Forum features a great mix of retailers we know and love. Our interior design features the elements we’re known for – bright, airy, white-washed spaces, live greenery and custom art reflective of the Laguna Beach coastline. This particular location will include an expanded, new display of our fine jewelry collection, as well as a seating area,” says Gorjana and Jason Reidel.
During the inception of the brand, Gorjana and Jason drove 50,000 miles to sell and market their collection and hit the trade show circuit. Thanks to their united creative vision, gorjana quickly grew from an idea into a full-fledged business; the couple still owns and operates the business today.
“I have always wanted to create timeless pieces that you can wear forever. I prioritize quality and a lightweight feel so that our customers can really live in the jewelry,” Gorjana says.
When asked to describe the “gorjana girl,” Gorjana says, “She’s confident, classic and creative in her self-expression, and doesn’t shy away from wearing multiple pieces of jewelry at once.”
The eponymous brand features versatile designs with adjustable clasps and sliding beads to allow the wearer to make each piece their own. Gorjana suggests trying their dainty fine jewelry styles for everyday and layering their classic necklaces like the Venice and Parker Mini.
“We look forward to bringing the gorjana retail experience to new communities and providing customers with the ability to interact with our brand in person and have access to services like buy online, pick up in store, same-day delivery, complimentary bespoke engraving and personalized styling tips,” says Jason.
