San Diego Botanic Garden Presents Summer Nights

San Diego Botanic Garden hosts its highly anticipated Summer Nights programming every Thursday from July 11 to Aug. 29. Garden guests can mark their calendars for an exciting and diverse selection of special events, performances and concerts.

During Summer Nights, the San Diego Botanic Garden will extend its hours until 8 p.m., giving guests extra time to savor warm evenings by exploring the beautiful grounds. The seasonal event also features a jam-packed agenda of special events, performances and concerts available as add-ons to make your evening at the Garden even more memorable.

The Summer Nights schedule features:

July 1: Hullabaloo, Gazebo Lawn Concert 

July 18: Mindy Donner, Storytelling in the Bamboo Garden 

July 25: Peter Sprague, Conservatory Amphitheater Concert 

Aug. 1: The Theatre School @ North Coast presents Hamlet, Conservatory Amphitheater Performance 

Aug. 8: Billy Lee and the Gulf Coasters, Gazebo Lawn Concert DETAILS

Aug. 15: Japanese Kamishibai Storytelling by Walter Ritter, Conservatory Amphitheater Performance 

Aug. 22: Caro Pierotto, Conservatory Amphitheater Concert 

Aug. 29: Wine Tasting and the History of Wine by Sommelier Dane Kuta, Conservatory Amphitheater 

Some of the slated events are included in general admission, while others require a separate ticket that can be purchased online. For a truly special summer evening, guests can even pre-order charcuterie platters to enjoy for Picnics on the Lawn, featuring Australian grass-fed cheddar, cranberry-hazelnut crisps, triple-creme brie, soppressata salami, fresh and dried fruit, aged gouda, blueberry-lemon thyme goat cheese, fig spread, and sour cherry spread. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will also be available for purchase.

Beyond Summer Nights, the 37-acre San Diego Botanic Garden (perfect for kids and adults to explore) features four miles of trails and ocean views, 5,000-plus plant species and varieties, and 29 themed gardens that represent more than a dozen different regions and many habitats of the world.
