Mission Pacific Hotel

San Diego’s Mission Pacific Hotel

After its grand opening this past summer, Mission Pacific Hotel has made a big splash for vacationers in Oceanside. The beachfront gateway features limitless views of the Pacific Ocean, Insta-worthy décor, and a relaxed, coastal experience for each guest.

The hotel is housed right next to the newly opened Seabird, a sister property that brings SoCal hospitality and luxe culinary experiences to the San Diego area. Together, the duo offers an experience for every traveler type, whether they are looking for a stroll in Seabird’s art gallery or skate lessons at Mission Pacific.

When staying with Mission Pacific, prepare to have your socks knocked off. The spot’s picture-perfect ocean views are enough to encourage guests to stay–most of which are from one of the hotel’s many private balcony views. There are 161 rooms, including 38 suites for guests to enjoy, complete with soft tones, spa-inspired baths and office nooks. A suite features a full kitchen, designer furnishings and some of the best views the hotel has to offer from a furnished, private patio space.

Each floor of the hotel comes equipped with filtered water stations, promoting the use of reusable water bottles and an eco-friendly environment. The walls show off artwork from the Oceanside Museum of Art.

With a state-of-the-art fitness center, complete with luxe equipment like Peloton bikes, a private rooftop pool featuring private cabanas, Jacuzzis and lounge areas, and a beach just steps away, there is something for everyone to do at the Mission Pacific. In addition, the hotel also offers a unique skateboarding school, is in close proximity to the Oceanside boardwalk and is within walking distance of the Surf and Art museums.

Though the highly anticipated Valle, a Guadalupe dining experience, is not yet open and is slated for October 2021, the hotel houses a multitude of other dining options, from fine-dining experiences to a more laidback, sandy-style vibe. The Rooftop bar offers the most exceptional Baja-inspired tacos, shareable plates and handcrafted cocktails (we highly recommend making reservations during sunset for some incredible views). Located on the first floor, the High/Low restaurant brings breakfast staples and twists on brunch to the hotel’s culinary experience and features endless ocean views. If you are looking to venture outside of the hotel for breakfast, Piper, a bubbly spot at SeaBird, currently offers breakfast with free-range eggs and only locally sourced, fresh ingredients.
