If you’re busily planning your Southern California summer escape, there is a new resort on the block to consider. The Monsaraz San Diego, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, is slated to open this summer and marks the first new hotel to open in the iconic coastal town of Point Loma in more than a decade.
Found just minutes from Downtown San Diego and the Bay, sea-centric The Monsaraz will be the epicenter of an eclectic collection of restaurants, shops and entertainment while offering plenty to see and do on site, as well.
The 92-room hotel will include three suites, each with distinct views of the rolling hills of Point Loma, the Bay and the Downtown San Diego skyline. A standout feature of the hotel will be a 4,000-sq.-ft. open-air courtyard with a plant wall, three-story mural, enchanting live tree and much more.
There will be plenty of F&B to savor as well at The Monsaraz. The third-floor Hideaway is the perfect place to savor the sun set with a cocktail in hand while the Westerly Public House is a 60-seat Cali-Aussie concept that will showcase coastal cuisines with a strong focus on sustainability and locally sourced ingredients. Dishes will include Mushroom Toasties, fish and chips and peri peri chicken, plus California must-haves, alongside a dynamic wine and cocktail list.
