The Hythe Vail Reopens

Debuting as Marriott International’s first Luxury Collection alpine stay in North America, The Hythe, a Luxury Collection Resort, Vail in the Rocky Mountains has undergone a $40 million renovation to bring guests elevated dining experiences, exciting mountain excursions and opulent stays.

Inspired by the beauty of Vail Mountain and those who first settled in the 1960’s and designed by Wilson Ishihara Design, The Hythe Vail houses 344 rooms, 22 of which are suites and 16 are spacious residences. Each space in the resort boasts a vintage 1960’s feel with touches of winter in its design. Stunning marble flooring can be found flowing through the lobby, imitating snow falling on the surrounding mountainscape, complemented by carved black stone walls and wood elements inspired by the alpine chalet.

Each room at the alpine destination offers a relaxing and comfortable environment, perfect for much-needed rest after spending a long day on the slopes. Every room features cozy fireplaces, whirlpool jet tubs and large bay windows overlooking stunning views of Vail Mountain. The design encases the surroundings with elements like soft wood tones, stone, leather and faux fur accents to pull the entire space together. The suites offer luxury in-room amenities including wellness and spa offerings, Molton Brown bath products, cozy Frette robes, thick, wool throw blankets for colder nights and a 55-in. flat-screen TV.

The resort houses four culinary concepts: Margie’s Haas, 10th Mountain, Mountain Ration and Revel Lounge. Each spot boasts a unique concept and pulls inspiration from its surrounding nature and historic tales. The dining destinations only use the freshest, locally-sourced ingredients for its dishes and libations, and offer elegant, yet cozy, farm-to-table dining. Every restaurant on-site is available for locals and guests and is a must to visit if you find yourself in the alpines.

A stay at The Hythe would not be complete without venturing outdoors to enjoy its incredible surroundings. A multitude of ventures are available for guests, whether they are a seasoned pro and would like to try their hand at heliskiing with Olympic athletes, fly fishing, mountain biking or even indoor mountain climbing with some gear from Lululemon. Prefer something tamer? Enjoy a soak on the mountainside hot tub and heated pool.

In addition to the alfresco activities, the resort houses a luxurious Well & Being Spa. The world-class spa and recovery stop was designed to help mountain adventurers recuperate after spending a long day outside. The spot implements the use of locally sourced ingredients, like refreshing pine, in its treatments and offers innovative services such as an altitude-combating oxygen bar, Himalayan salt lounges to aid in anxiety and muscle health, and a multitude of other recovery treatments to help recover and relax each guest.
