The Westin Anaheim Resort

Marking Westin’s first new build in Southern California in nearly three decades, The Westin Anaheim Resort opened its doors in June. The resort offers a relaxing and luxurious respite from a day at Disneyland and is a destination suited for both business and leisure travelers.

Within walking distance of Disneyland, Disney California Adventure and the Anaheim Convention Center, the newly opened Westin Anaheim Resort is situated to be the ideal spot for staying and playing for leisure and business travelers. Or, for those who want to tote the family along on a business trip (there are a whopping 23 event rooms) and experience the best of both worlds. It’s a place that feels just as welcoming to sneakers and Mickey ears as it does to suits and ties.

Unlike the surrounding resorts that are decked in Disney characters and primary colors, The Westin Anaheim Resort takes its design cues from the area’s historic orange groves that sprinkled the city prior to the opening of Disneyland in the 1950s. The resort’s muted tones are accented with beautiful greenery (there are even potted citrus trees throughout much of its common spaces) and honeycomb patterns, as seen in the lighting fixtures, artwork and more.

Guests can settle into 618 stylish, sumptuous guestrooms, including 121 suites–some of which even offer jaw-dropping views of Disney California Adventure’s iconic Pixar Pal-A-Round ferris wheel and Incredicoaster. The panoramas are a quick reminder that you’re mere steps from Disney, yet the room’s sleek design feels as if you’re in a NYC high-rise.

While on property, guests can maintain their wellness agenda by breaking a sweat in the impressive WestinWORKOUT Fitness Studio. The 2,860-sq.-ft. space is outfitted with the likes of Peloton bikes, TRX functional training equipment, free weights and cardiovascular equipment and can currently be booked by appointment. Impressively, the fitness studio is home to a Hyperice recovery station with percussion massage devices, available at very few properties across the nation. (And no judgement here if you reserve a spot at the fitness center post-Disney solely to pamper your weary legs via Hyperice.)

If the art of doing nothing at all suits you, The Westin Anaheim Resort pool and hot tub offer a relaxing, sun-soaked escape. Best of all, the pool has a boutique hotel vibe. Small enough to feel private and exclusive, but large enough to offer first-class poolside service and super-cool cabanas. At night, guests can even sip a cocktail fireside within the pool area.

One of the most noteworthy aspects of The Westin Anaheim Resort is its collection of restaurants and bars. Blossom Cafe & Market invites guests to enjoy coffee and grab-and-go eats alongside a curated selection of cute baby gifts, clothes, accessories, home décor and more. Order ahi tacos, a piri piri chicken sandwich and mango margarita poolside at Bella’s Splash Pool Bar. Top-shelf cocktails and small bites are dished up at the lobby’s Bar 1030 as well as RISE Rooftop Lounge, one of the resort’s many showpieces that is open only to resort guests and offers views of Disneyland’s can’t-miss fireworks displays. Tangerine Room is the resort’s beautiful signature restaurant with modern Californian eats and a global wine list. Adored dining destinations Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar and Puesto are also on-site, rounding out the resort’s wide variety of offerings for sipping and savoring.
