Because an action-packed (or completely free of action that isn’t picking up a book and sipping a cocktail) day at the pool requires plenty of delicious fuel, Town and County has that in spades. First, ARLO opened its doors less than a year ago and specializes in fresh, flavorful, from-scratch fare that’ll satisfy all your senses. (Get the octopus and scallops.) For a tasty grab-and-go breakfast, like a melty ham and cheese croissant, and an iced latte or fresh juice, pop by MRKT, and order lunch poolside at Lap It Up. You can’t miss it; Thelma, the retro light-up swimmer, graces the top of the building. Happy hour calls for a trip to Monkey Bar, the indoor-outdoor bar found in the hotel lobby. Order the tropical Drunken Monkey cocktail (complete with edible flowers) or elegant Don Draper and a salty-savory Spaniard flatbread, with chorizo, manchego cheese, piquillo peppers and Spanish capers.
Late this summer, Town and Country is set to debut Lapper, a sports bar-esque dining spot with Palm Springs-meets-San Diego vibes. Lapper will have an expansive poolside patio, indoor and outdoor games, TV’s, casual eats and local craft beer, all in one poolside spot.
