City Center Bishop Ranch’s Lunar New Year Celebration

Ring in good fortune and embrace the Year of the Dragon at City Center Bishop Ranch’s Lunar New Year Celebration, with a free event taking place on Sunday, Feb. 18, from 2 to 4 p.m.
City Center, a lively, open-air dining, shopping and entertainment destination that is San Ramon’s cultural core, will offer vibrant festivities, mesmerizing traditional performances, and a selfie station to capture the day’s fun. Lunar New Year, a significant time in various Asian cultures, celebrates the arrival of spring and the beginning of a new calendar year based on the moon cycles, or lunar calendar.
In the auspicious Year of the Dragon, symbolizing power, strength, and good fortune, City Center invites guests to Alexander Square for festive Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese dance performances, along with popular lion dancing. Adding to the excitement, guests will also witness Kung Fu demonstrations and traditional instrumental performances.
