The Santa Barbara Kite Festival
April 16 @ 11:00 am - 4:00 pm

Kite Month lasts all of April in California, but Santa Barbara provides a particularly gorgeous location for a one-day kite-flying extravaganza. The Santa Barbara Kite Festival is set to take place on Sunday, Apr. 16 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the west campus lawn at Santa Barbara City College.
“Colors” is the theme of this year’s family-friendly kite festival. The Santa Barbara Kite Festival also includes a number of family-friendly kite contests throughout the day, such as “Most Beautiful”, “Highest Flying”, “Largest & Smallest Kites”, “Youngest & Oldest Kite Flyers”, “Most Unique Or Unusual Kite” and “Funniest Kite”.
In addition, guests can purchase kites, food and beverages throughout the event. There’s no better excuse to spend some time outdoors and enjoy a famous Tinker’s Hot Dog with all of your favorite people than visiting The Santa Barbara Kite Festival.
This event is free to attend.
