Following its grand reopening, Ember & Rye, the signature restaurant at Park Hyatt Aviara in Carlsbad, is set to host a series of exciting fall events. Highlights include a chef-curated Sunday Supper, Corkage-Free Wednesdays, and a special dining experience in celebration of San Diego Restaurant Week.

Overlooking the 18th hole of the Aviara Golf Club, Ember & Rye has recently reopened under the culinary expertise of acclaimed chef and James Beard-nominated cookbook author Richard Blais. With a background honed at prestigious kitchens like The French Laundry, Daniel, Chez Panisse, and El Bulli, Blais brings his signature flair to the refreshed restaurant.

The updated menu showcases an array of elevated dishes, including succulent steaks and fresh seafood rooted in fine local ingredients. Standout offerings include the steak frites—an 8-oz. prime hanger steak served with heirloom tomatoes, cucumbers, watercress, pickled onion, cilantro, shaken beef jus, and a sweet potato fritter—and the Ember seared spicy tuna sandwich, topped with furikake, spicy aioli, pickled onion, radish sprouts, butter lettuce, and served on a brioche bun.

Sunday Supper

Diners can also enjoy the weekly Sunday Supper, held every Sunday from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Curated by Chef Blais, this multi-course meal centers around a roast cooked over an open flame, infusing every bite with smoky richness. The evening also includes inventive appetizers, creative side dishes, and desserts, all set against the backdrop of live entertainment in the inviting atmosphere of the Aviara Golf Club.

Between Clubs

For those seeking a lighter option, Ember & Rye offers the Between Clubs daytime menu, available daily from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Ideal for those finishing a round of golf, the menu features dishes like grilled fish tacos with cabbage, pico de gallo, lime crema, and cotija cheese; oysters with sorrel-cucumber ice and passionfruit mignonette; and a classic Caesar salad with artichokes, kale, and croissant croutons. Refreshing cocktails, like the Lagoon Treasure with Ron Zacapa Rum, housemade hazelnut orgeat, pine ole syrup, and lime, are also available.

San Diego Restaurant Week

During San Diego Restaurant Week from Sept. 22 to Sept. 29, Ember & Rye will offer a prix-fixe lunch menu from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Here, guests will enjoy a chef-curated selection of dishes for $40 per person in a casual, vintage clubhouse setting overlooking the greens. Corkage Free Wednesdays

For wine enthusiasts, Corkage Free Wednesdays offer a delightful opportunity to bring their favorite bottle to dinner without a corkage fee. This midweek special allows guests to enhance their dining experience with a personal touch, perfectly pairing their meal with the wine of their choice.
