Grapefruit Basil Restaurant & Bar, located at the beautiful Tommy Bahama Miramonte Resort & Spa in Indian Wells, serves island-inspired cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner to both hotel guests and Palm Springs locals.

Grapefruit Basil offers a relaxed and inviting atmosphere that also has a touch of sophistication. The light and airy design of the restaurant matches the tropical theme of the resort and the bright flavors of the menu. Enjoy al fresco dining on the patio with breathtaking views of the Santa Rosa Mountains. Many nights you can hear live acoustic music on the patio as you dine, with twinkling lanterns in the trees lighting your meal.


The menu features fresh and locally sourced ingredients in vibrant dishes. Keeping with the tropical theme, you will find a lot of wonderful seafood on the Grapefruit Basil menu. For brunch, indulge in Dungeness crab cake eggs benedict, lobster frittata or brioche bananas foster French toast. For some lighter fare, you can order overnight oats with an assortment of fruit, the miso-avocado toast or the Santa Barbara smokehouse lox. Lunch items on the brunch menu include a Niman Ranch brisket-short rib burger, Thai noodle salad or skirt steak tacos.

For dinnertime at Grapefruit Basil, you’ll find a delightful selection of appetizers such as house-made focaccia, aguachile (made with bluefin tuna, Bristol diver scallops and Mexican blue prawns) and lobster chowder. A beautiful vegetarian and gluten-free dinner entree is the spaghetti squash with roasted mushrooms, lemon Parmigiano-Reggiano broth, Campari tomato, sweet corn, Bloomsdale spinach and pistachio gremolata, served with grilled sourdough. The meat-eaters at the table will be delighted with the Santa Carota cowboy ribeye or the slow-cooked Angus short rib.


Be sure to save room for dessert at Grapefruit Basil. Sweet endings include Meyer lemon meringue pie, butterscotch budino, Mexican hot chocolate lava cake and Fosselman’s sorbet.

As would be expected from a Tommy Bahama restaurant, the refreshing signature cocktails are made with local ingredients and top spirits. Guests will enjoy a tropical twist on beloved classics that are as beautiful as they are delicious. Brunch is served daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and dinner is served from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The bar is open 11 a.m. to midnight, offering a smaller menu and collection of cocktails throughout the day.
