Holi Festival at City Center Bishop Ranch

The Bay Area’s largest Holi Festival is making its comeback to City Center Bishop Ranch for a free, vibrant celebration, including the traditional throwing of colors, live music and an array of family-friendly activities, when it returns April 8.

Holi, an ancient Hindu festival signifying the arrival of spring, is a colorful celebration centered around dousing vibrant powdered pigments while donning light-colored clothing to welcome the season in a radiant expression of togetherness.

The community event, the first after a two-year, pandemic-induced hiatus, features DJ Love, Bollywood dance performances and henna tattoo artists to adorn the whole family with temporary body art. Curry Up Now, a Bay Area favorite serving up Indian street food, will host giveaways throughout the festival along with a grand giveaway to win free food for a year.

Taking place in a new and larger location to accommodate the more than 2,000 expected attendees, the festival is being held at Alexander Square, the central hub of City Center. The throwing of colors begins at 6 p.m. and each guest will receive complimentary colorful powders to participate in the celebration.
