“Year of the Rabbitville” Lunar New Year Brunch

Provisional Kitchen at Pendry San Diego will celebrate Lunar New Year with a “Year of the Rabbitville” Lunar New Year Brunch on Jan. 22 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Paying homage to the Rabbitville history of Gaslamp Quarter, the brunch will usher in endless prosperity while welcoming the Year of the Rabbit with specials from Chef Brandon Sloan and specialty cocktails, including:

Bacon fried rice – sunny side up egg, sesame, green onion
Pork and shrimp dumplings with ginger soy sauce
Year of the Rabbit Carrot Cake – toasted coconut cream cheese, orange tuile, crystalized walnuts
Down the Rabbit Hole – Hennessy VS, aperol, Villa Sandi Prosecco
To the Moon & Back – Belvedere Vodka, blood orange, passion fruit, egg white

In the 1800’s, Gaslamp Quarter was known as “Rabbitville,” due to early settlers creating a welcoming habitat for the local rabbit population (hence the nickname). The “Year of the Rabbitville” menu at Provisional Kitchen will honor the pioneering spirit of Alonzo Horton, who transformed Rabbitville into modern San Diego.
