Bayside Restaurant Debuts New Bar Menu

Overlooking the picturesque harbor in Newport Beach lies Bayside Restaurant, a culinary gem that boasts a reputation as one of the area’s premier dining destinations. Bayside captivates patrons with its elegant ambiance, impeccable service and innovative eats–and now, a delicious bar bites menu.

Bayside is renowned for its famous Sunday Champagne brunch, where you can enjoy all-you-can-drink mimosas for just $15 while overlooking the harbor on the wrap-around patio. Inside the restaurant, listen to live music every night of the week. With everything from Latin jazz to R&B to classics to contemporary cover tunes, there is something for everyone.

Whether you’re meeting friends after work or finished with a shopping trip at Fashion Island, nibbling on the bar bites at Bayside should be your next stop. With a sampling of wines by the glass for less than $10, you can take your pick of Cabernet, Chardonnay or Brut Champagne to put you in the mood to relax.

Bayside’s bar bites are a great mix of appetizers to suit your cravings. We always say “yes” to the dynamic duo that is Champagne and oysters. Bayside offers a trio served with a clean, mild brine that provides a buttery finish. Creamy and packed with artichokes, the hot artichoke dip is complemented by crispy toast points for the perfect mix of textures.

If we were asked our idea of a perfect date, it would be nibbling the bacon-wrapped dates at Bayside. Large, sweet dates are stuffed with goat cheese, wrapped in bacon and then drizzled with balsamic reduction. Two orders is a must. While french fries are nothing new, Bayside puts a Cajun spin on the familiar classic. Dusted with Cajun spices, the Nola fries are served with a lemon aioli that makes you keep reaching for more.

To top off the bar menu, Bayside offers substantial short rib sliders, tuna poke with fresh chips and marinated steak bites with chimichurri sauce made in house. Known for its quality meat and seafood, Bayside’s bar bites don’t disappoint. The tuna poke is fresh, light and chopped into small cubes that easily fit on each chip. The marinated steak bites are tender and flavorful on their own, but Bayside’s house-made chimichurri sauce kicks it up a notch.

Bayside Restaurant is open Monday through Thursday, 4:30 to 9:30 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 4:30 to 10:30 p.m.; Sunday, 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. Bayside’s bar menu is available every day from 4:30 p.m. to close.
