Hometown: I was born and raised in Southern San Diego.
First job: My first job was at 15 when I was on summer break. I worked at a barber shop, sweeping up hair. My first Job in the industry after culinary school was at Wild Thyme catering, then I worked at Searsucker in Downtown San Diego.
Favorite ways to spend your free time in CA: I enjoy eating out, and being outdoors.
Your biggest accomplishment and why: My biggest accomplishment was obtaining my associate degree in culinary arts when I was working full-time and going to culinary school full-time. Every day I would leave my house at 8 a.m., and I wouldn’t get home until after 1 a.m.
The biggest obstacle you overcame: One of the biggest obstacles I overcame was taking a smaller role and lower pay within a company in order to learn and exceed in my career. I started as a prep cook and worked my way up. My first project was a food truck, and now I own two restaurants.
Someone who inspires you and why: My parents inspire me because they’ve always supported me and helped me along the way.
Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Follow your passion and stay focused. With dedication and a little discipline, you can achieve anything you set your mind to. This career is extremely demanding and very hands-on.

Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: I’ve always loved cooking and dreamed about owning my own restaurant. In fact, my mother has pictures of me when I was around 7 or 8 years old in an apron cooking lobster!
What makes someone fabulous: Their ability to help people without expecting anything in return.
