How did your love story begin? Mandy: We met 20 years ago at a friend’s house in Laguna Beach. I was celebrating my one year of being single – to the day – and Curt had come down from Santa Cruz for the weekend for work. I was making dinner for friends that night, and Curt walked in and said “how can I help you?” the moment we met. We instantly fell for each other and dated long distance for two years, traveling back and forth between Orange County and Santa Cruz. Once we got married, Curt moved down south, and we bought our home in dreamy San Clemente. We spent the first 10 years of our marriage as two working parents building our careers as we raised our son, Cruz, and daughter, Jagger. For the last four years, Curt has stayed home with our kids focusing on parenting and supporting me and all things Z SUPPLY. I literally couldn’t do it without him!
Favorite thing about one another: Mandy: Curt is incredibly funny, kind and passionate about all aspects of his life. I love that he keeps me laughing and doesn’t let me take life or myself too seriously. He is my biggest supporter and offers me so much guidance in our business. Most importantly, he is the BEST dad! The way he cares for our kids is this girl’s dream come true.
Curt: Mandy is incredibly passionate, driven and compassionate. She amazes me with how much she is able to accomplish in a day, between the demands running a business, leading a large team, being a hands-on and loving mom, wife and friend. She is creative and innovative, and her mind never stops.
Favorite date night: We love a good night out at some of our favorite restaurants in Orange County, but what we really love is an evening at Lowers (the beach in front of our house) with a pizza from Truly Pizza and a good bottle of wine and watching the sunset.
Favorite tradition you have as a couple: When Mandy can make it home in time from the office, we love our evening walks and catching the sunset together with our kids. We also love our surf trips and have so many destinations that we consider traditions, but Tavarua in Fiji has our heart.
