Hometown: Manhattan Beach, CA

Favorite ways to spend family time in CA: Learning new things with my girls! We love to visit the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach and the South Coast Botanic Gardens in Rancho Palos Verdes.

Your most rewarding motherhood moment: Seeing my girls confidently bound off to school or any new class. They love to learn, grow and make friends. Selfishly, it’s when they were old enough to say, “I love you too, Mom!”

Biggest challenge as a mom: Balancing the investment of my time between home and work. I want to live two lives and soak up every second of life with my girls.

A mother who inspires you and why: My mom inspires me. She was brave, straightforward and encouraged to live big lives. She was fearless and loved us with her whole heart. That’s motherhood – vulnerability, unconditional love and acceptance. She also worked full time without apology. If she had mom guilt, she never shared that with us, which gave us to the freedom to become independent.

Best piece of advice for a new mom: You are the fountain. You are the source for your children – give them strength even when you are tired, give them courage even when you are scared, give them love most of all.

Your biggest hope for your children: I hope my girls are happy and that they reach for what they want, without apology. I hope they believe in themselves and remain hungry for knowledge.

How are you celebrating Mother’s Day? Hosting our local community and my family for a delicious high tea at my venue in Palos Verdes. I can’t wait to celebrate all the local moms with a custom bouquet-making station and a place for the kids to make mom cards.
