Hometown: Tirana, Albania

First job: I worked at Denny’s as a server at the age 16. Since I had just moved to America, it was a place where I learned a lot about people’s customs here and the best way to handle obstacles. You could say I saw the good and the bad, which prepared me for any future careers moves.

Favorite ways to spend your free time in CA: I enjoy simplicity – going to the beach and walking on the board walk is my quintessential California must. If we’re not by the water, Disneyland is always fun with the kids.

Your biggest accomplishment and why: Without a doubt, my two babies. They are the most amazing things I have created.

The biggest obstacle you overcame: Moving away from home from one country to another but feeling a sense of belonging from a very young age no matter where I was. It taught me to be strong and resilient in new situations, which is the key to being a businesswoman.

Someone who inspires you and why: My husband. He is so brave and smart and has made some amazing career moves.

Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Don’t be scared to get out there, ask questions and throw yourself into the unknown. Photography changes so often that even the ones who know it all have to learn new things. Be willing to adapt.

Favorite quote: “Do the best you can until you know better and when you know better, do better.”

Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: I speak multiple languages including Albanian, Italian and a spattering of Spanish. And English, of course!

What makes someone fabulous: Kindness and genuine care for others. Being a good person is pretty fabulous.
