Favorite ways to spend your free time in CA: I enjoy walking along the beach and hiking San Diego’s trails.
Your biggest accomplishment and why: My family and I immigrated to the U.S. when I was a child. As an immigrant, there is a heavy emphasis on getting a job with security. My former job as an analyst for the local government epitomized the “American Dream” because it provided decent pay, good benefits and a retirement plan. I had to overcome the mental hurdle that while my job was stable, it wasn’t how I wanted to spend my life. My biggest accomplishment has been getting out of that career and creating a business I love.
The biggest obstacle you overcame: When my daughter turned one, I decided to leave my analyst job to focus on raising my daughter and building my business. The transition from working full-time in a secure position to caring for a toddler while finding the energy to move my business forward was challenging.
Someone who inspires you and why: My husband is one of my biggest inspirations. He is a man of integrity who always keeps his word and puts our family first.
Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Train as many people as you can and stay up to date with industry trends.

Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: I have my M.A. in Latin American Studies from University of California San Diego and spent seven years as a Spanish teacher and 10 years as a data analyst.
