Capri Restaurant at Eataly Los Angeles

With its sun-kissed ambiance and a menu that pays homage to the rich flavors of the Mediterranean, Capri restaurant at Eataly captures the essence of la dolce vita, inviting patrons to savor the tastes of Southern Italy without leaving the heart of Los Angeles.

Capri started as a temporary pop-up within Eataly Los Angeles but was such a success that it earned itself a permanent home. “After the successful launch of the Capri pop-up more than a year ago, we decided it was time to give Capri a permanent home,” says Stefano Murialdo, managing director of Eataly West Coast. “The food and ambiance will continue to be the main attraction, as we welcome guests into a new space with an expanded menu that is refreshed, yet still incorporates the signature Capri elements that our guests already love.”

The restaurant is bright and airy as one would expect of a Mediterranean eatery. The walls adorned with photographs of the azure sea and whitewashed buildings transport you to the scenic landscapes of Capri. The spacious balcony overlooks Century City with beautiful flowers and furniture, making guests feel like they are basking in the sun on the Italian Coast.

This Southern Italian-influenced dining destination features fresh seafood, traditional pastas, pizzas, a menu dedicated to the freshest crudo, spritzes and regional Italian wines. Crudi are a favorite of Italian coastal cities as a great light way to start a meal and to appreciate seafood at peak freshness. Starting with one of these selections is a must when dining at Capri. The seafood used is the freshest you’ll find, and the flavors create a symphonic melody in your mouth. Selections include rock fish tartare, tartare di salmone and carpaccio di ricciola, to name a few.

As would be expected of such an outstanding Italian restaurant, the pasta here is another must-try. The Scialatielli Allo Scoglio is a traditional Capri dish made with Scialatielli, a pasta from the Amalfi region that is served with a triumph of fresh shellfish. For entrees, sustainably sourced seafood is of course the star of this menu. Choose from Pacific grilled swordfish, baked branzino, Pacific halibut, grilled Nordic blue salmon and oven-baked Norwegian steelhead trout.
