JOEY Newport Beach opened last month at Fashion Island making it the fourth JOEY restaurant in California. Located in the heart of Newport Beach, this chic and modern restaurant is sure to be your new go-to spot for a night out with friends or family.
What struck us immediately was the stunning design of this restaurant. The interior of JOEY Newport Beach features natural materials like light brick, warm wood, stone and leather that give the space a cozy vibe. Plus, there is an extensive Bocci light installation spread over the dining area and a custom bronze ceiling fixture above the bar that really sets the scene. As if that wasn’t enough, the interior dining room opens onto a large 2,000-sq.-ft. patio that features retractable sections of roof and a large-scale outdoor fire pit surrounded by lush landscaping and live trees. Like its other locations, JOEY Newport Beach also features work from hand-picked local artists throughout.
JOEY is renowned for its expansive menu which includes everything from classic Italian dishes such as spaghetti pomodoro to seafood favorites like Chilean sea bass and jumbo lump crab cakes. The steaks have their own section of the menu, featuring steak frites, steak & ravioli bianco and the JOEY Classic Steak–a 7-oz. filet mignon served with loaded crispy mashed potatoes and asparagus. There are also a variety of salads and sushi available for those who are looking for lighter fare.
As far as drinks go, JOEY boasts an impressive selection of craft beers on tap, an extensive wine list, as well as specialty cocktails. Of course, no meal would be complete without dessert – so don’t forget to save room for a sweet treat. The dessert menu offers an individually baked apple pie, molten chocolate cake, crème brûlée cheesecake and warm Italian doughnuts.
JOEY Newport Beach is conveniently located at Fashion Island and opens daily at 11 a.m. Happy hour is offered daily 3 to 6 p.m. and also from 9 p.m. to close, Sunday to Thursday.
