Bob Cabral Joins Bricoleur Vineyards

Critically-celebrated winemaker, Bob Cabral of Bob Cabral Wines, has joined the renowned team at Bricoleur Vineyards as a co-winemaker.

Bricoleur Vineyards’ wine program in Sonoma Valley just received its latest addition, the notable, award-winning winemaker Bob Cabral. Cabral, a fourth-generation grape grower, made the first 100-point North American Pinot Noir during his 17-year tenure at William Selyem Winery and was the recipient of Wine Enthusiast magazine’s 2011 Winemaker of the Year.

“Since our first vintage of wine in 2017, it has always been our goal to build a vibrant and established winemaking team,” says Mark Hanson, co-founder and CEO of Bricoleur Vineyards, in a press release. “Along with our existing winemaker Cary Gott and assistant winemaker Tom Pierson, the addition of Bob Cabral as co-winemaker will truly enhance our winemaking program and take our already outstanding collection of more than 20 different wines to a new level.”

2023 will be Cabral’s 44th year as a vintage winemaker. He has built a reputation for crafting his own wines, Bob Cabral Wines, in addition to his tenure at respected vineyards like Three Sticks Wines at the Adobe and Williams Selyem Winery.

While at Bricoleur Vineyards, Cabral will aid in farming, picking and sourcing new vineyard sites. The vineyard currently has two sustainably farmed estate vineyards that produce fruit for its most notable wines.

“I am extremely excited and grateful to have the opportunity to work with the winemaking team at Bricoleur Vineyards,” says Cabral, in a press release. “Moving on to new projects and experiencing new vineyards provides extraordinary opportunities to grow as a winemaker. I was fortunate to recognize early in my career that the journey of working with unique soils and crafting wines from their fruits is the destination. I look forward to this journey with Bricoleur Vineyards, especially contributing to their unique wine and food experiences.”

Bricoleur Vineyards is open Thursday through Monday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (by appointment only). For more information or to make a reservation, visit bricoleurvineyards.com
