Nobu Hotel Palo Alto Unveils Japanese-Inspired Garden and Restaurant

Nobu Hotel Palo Alto, a boutique hotel in the heart of Silicon Valley, has completed its multi-million-dollar renovation with the debut of its new Nobu restaurant and garden.

Combining modern Japanese-inspired design with simple sophistication, the garden represents a refined extension to the Nobu restaurant and an unparalleled event venue in Downtown Palo Alto

The concept was spearheaded by renowned designer Shigeru Namba, and every detail was intentional. Specially-selected boulders from Japan were individually and sculpturally positioned to enhance the spatial qualities of the garden. Native, drought-tolerant ground cover with Japanese-inspired specimen plantings accent the garden. Guests will be welcomed to the garden through the hotel’s lobby, inviting them to pause among the flora before settling into an outdoor table. Every table is positioned for guests to enjoy views of the garden throughout their dining experience.

In a press release, general manager and area director Janelle Eng expressed her excitement about the new restaurant and garden. Eng called it a “momentous occasion for the property” that “further diversifies the experiences guests of the hotel and the local community can expect to receive.” The team at Nobu Hotel Palo Alto is thrilled to provide a peaceful respite unlike any other venue across Silicon Valley.

The garden is designated for private events and overflow of the main restaurant. The interior dining space is enclosed by a full-room skylight to allow for lots of natural light. The garden can host up to 54 guests.

Playing upon the seasons, the planting of the garden is intended to change throughout the year. Each of the featured plants and florals are designed to celebrate their proper blooming.

Nobu Hotel Palo Alto offers a place to relax and recharge with world-renowned cuisine. The hotel is thoughtfully designed to provide comfort and convenience within an urban retreat setting. The exclusive Ryokan experience features personalized service, teak tubs and walk-in showers for a Japanese onsen ritual in suites. Other amenities include custom-made linen yukata bathrobes, Dyson Supersonic hair dryers, Italian bed linens by Anichini, and preferred seating in Nobu restaurant.
