July 1: Virtual 5K/10K/Half-Marathon

Beginning in Palisades Park, participants can choose between a 5K, 10K or half-marathon race and compete against runners across the world. After sign-up, your swag bag will be sent to you with all the essentials you need to participate. Feel good about feeling good and challenging yourself with half of the proceeds going to select orphanages in East Asia.

July 1: Pier Pressure San Diego Pre-July 4th Mega Yacht Party

San Diego

Setting sail at 5 p.m., get ready for an evening of drinking, dancing and mingling surrounded by six DJs on three separate decks during the Pier Pressure San Diego Pre-July 4th Mega Yacht Party. Being aboard the 1,200-person luxury vessel is a perfect place to catch breathtaking views of the San Diego skyline, harbor, Coronado Bridge and maybe even some fireworks.

Spend the day at Stearns Wharf and enjoy the ocean air while live music plays throughout the town. Finish the night with a 20-minute fireworks spectacle over the water–choreographed to classics and patriotic favorites.

July 4: Independence Day on the Back Bay

Spend all day–8 a.m. to 10 p.m.–at the Newport Beach harbor with a little something for everybody. While awaiting the free fireworks extravaganza at 9 p.m., grab a bite and a brew from one of the food trucks, dance to the beats of DJ yo–b1, or rent double-kayaks and Duffy boats to take the party afloat. Make sure to get there early and beat the traffic because it’s going to be a fully-filled Fourth of July celebration.

July 4: La Jolla Shores Drone Show

La Jolla

La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club hosts a show-stopping, cutting-edge Drone Show featuring 100 drones soaring hundreds of feet above the shoreline for a dazzling Independence Day performance. The drones are set to launch at 8:45 p.m.; the main viewing of the show will be from the south end of Kellogg Park.

July 4: 4th of July Fireworks Family Cruise

Hop aboard the 4th of July Family Fireworks Cruise, during which guests can take in SeaWorld San Diego’s spectacular Independence Day display. The William D. Evans sternwheeler boat departs from Bahia Resort Hotel and features a DJ and a cash bar with drinks and snacks. The ride takes place 6:50 to 9:55 p.m.
