March 15 to March 17: Kiss Me, I’m Irish! St. Patrick’s Day Bar Crawl

Prepare to crawl your way through the luckiest night of the year during the Kiss Me, I’m Irish! St. Patrick’s Day Bar Crawl. Grab a round of green beer from participating venues, including Pacific Beach Alehouse, Baja Beach Cafe and Cabo Cantina (plus many more!) and prepare for dancing, Irish fare and all-around good vibes. This epic three-day bar crawl will take place from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Friday; 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Saturday; and 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Sunday.

March 15 to March 17: 2024 Irish 4-A-Day St. Paddy’s Day Party Hop! 

Whether you’re Irish or just Irish at heart, Irish 4-A-Day St. Paddy’s Day Party Hop! offers a St. Patrick’s Day in San Diego to remember. With three days of non-stop festivities, this crawl will take guests on a journey through some of San Diego’s hottest bars and venues, with drink specials, live music and a sea of green-clad revelers. Over 22 venues will be participating, with a select offering complimentary welcome shots. Crawlers can move at their own pace and will receive festive souvenirs. This event is 21-plus.

March 16: St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival

Back for its 42nd year, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival has returned for one day of celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in San Diego. This year’s theme embraces “Unity with Peace in Ireland and Beyond,” acknowledging the challenges of those facing fear and violence around the world. The parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Fifth Avenue and Laurel Street. The parade will feature elaborate floats, marching bands and Irish dancers. Be sure to stick around after the parade for live music, food vendors and cultural exhibits at the Irish Festival at Balboa Park; festival grounds open at 9 a.m.
Cost: No fee for the parade. $10 admission for adults 21-plus at the festival.

March 16: University Heights St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl

Grab your fellow leprechauns, and prepare to venture through the charming San Diego neighborhood during the University Heights St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl. This fun event will feature drink specials from neighborhood taverns and bars, green craft sips, Irish fare, beaded necklaces, temporary clover tattoos and green clover rings. This Celtic celebration will take place from 5 to 9 p.m.

March 16: ShamROCK St. Paddy’s Day Music + Beer Festival

Prepare to paint the town green at ShamROCK St. Paddy’s Day Music + Beer Festival, one of the largest celebrations in honor of St. Patrick’s Day in San Diego. The event spans several city blocks in the historic Gaslamp Quarter and offers a variety of fun for all ages, including multiple stages with live performances from Celtic and Irish rock bands, Irish dance performances, Irish fare, lucky libations and more shenanigans for little ones, too. The Celtic fest will run from 2 to 11 p.m.
Cost: $30 for ages 5 to 17 and $54 for adults.

March 16: San Diego Leprechaun Run

Lace up your running shoes and get ready to feel lucky at the San Diego Leprechaun Run. This family-friendly 5K run/walk welcomes participants of all ages and fitness levels as they make their way through the streets of Downtown Pacific Beach. Dress in your finest green attire and enjoy scenic ocean views as you race to the finish line. Finishers will receive a medal, T-shirt, drinks, chip timing and bib. The 5K begins at 9 a.m., followed by a kids’ 1K at 10:30 a.m.

March 16 and March 17: Luck O’ Loma Weekend

Celebrate the luck of the Irish all weekend long at Luck O’ Loma, a two-day extravaganza in Point Loma, as it returns for its fourth year celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in San Diego. Enjoy live music, delicious food, green drinks and more from noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. on Sunday. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to The Animal Pad dog rescue. This event is for 21-plus only.

March 17: Leprechauns & Live Music
