April 16 to April 24: Evergreen San Francisco Makes Its Debut

A citywide multi-day 420 celebration has been announced for the Bay Area: Evergreen San Francisco. Taking place April 16 to April 24, the event will host a slew of cannabis-themed activities and experiences.

The nine-day celebration was created in partnership between San Francisco Travel Association, San Francisco Cannabis Retailers Alliance, San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, Fisherman’s Wharf Community Benefit District, and San Francisco Cannabis Equity Group. During Evergreen San Francisco, event-goers can take part in attractions, foodie spots, nature hikes, immersive art and experiences throughout the Bay Area.

More than 25 of the city’s cannabis lounges and dispensaries are participating in Evergreen San Francisco and will offer promotions and various curated experiences. On April 20, the legendary annual 420 gathering in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park at “Hippie Hill” will take place. The free event brings thousands of people together in the park’s Robin Williams Meadow to celebrate the right to use cannabis. Music and event programming will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Another standout includes Collective High’s “High, San Francisco!”, an interactive cannabis scavenger hunt, and be sure to mark your calendar for April 23, when writer Alia Volz will host a book signing event at Fisherman’s Wharf Plaza in celebration of Home Baked: My Mom, Marijuana and the Stoning of San Francisco.
