Favorite ways to spend your free time in CA: We love to visit friends and family when in California and, of course, go wine tasting.
Your biggest accomplishment and why: Opening up our dream business is definitely our greatest accomplishment. Seeing it come to fruition any time would be an accomplishment for us, but the fact that we opened up in the heart of COVID and not only did this business make it but thrived, and we were able to open our second location during this time.
The biggest obstacle you overcame: Opening Wine Girl Scottsdale during COVID. We decided to go for our dream and used every dollar to our name doing it. By the time we finally finished construction and got our certificate of occupancy, we legally couldn’t open because that was the beginning of COVID when every bar and restaurant had to be closed. It was a very stressful and unknown time.
Someone who inspires you and why: Amy: Trevor. In the past eight years, I’ve seen him grind so hard at everything he does, and he always makes sure to help my dreams come true.
Trevor: Amy because she deals with me all the time.
Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Amy: Be able to thrive in chaos and don’t let people’s negativity affect you.
Trevor: Don’t let someone tell you that you can’t do it.
Favorite quote: “Many of those who know you personally will doubt you until they see strangers supporting you.”
Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: We were on Shark Tank for a product Trevor invented years ago [the wallet buckle]. We used to sell them at live events and have probably been to just about every country music festival across the country selling them.
What makes someone fabulous: Amy: People who are sunshine in human form. I love positive, happy people.
