Your biggest accomplishment and why: My biggest accomplishment has been launching Thanks! Naturals. Having the opportunity to utilize my legal and business background to develop a company that integrates two things I value deeply: the health benefits of CBD and the importance of integrating gratitude into daily life.
The biggest obstacle you overcame: I was raised by a single mom, which is viewed as a difficult obstacle to most. However, I truly feel lucky, as it has inspired me in more ways that you can imagine. It has taught me the true value of hard work, grit, the importance of loved ones and sincere gratitude. An obstacle I would go through a million times over!
Someone who inspires you and why: The person who inspires me the most is, hands down, my mother. Being a single mom she juggled working full time, raising me and taking care of our home – all while never missing a beat. She inspires me every day to do my best in everything I want to do, being grateful for who and what I have, and to have the self-confidence to take on any challenge that comes my way.
Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: The biggest piece of advice I would offer is to swing for the fences. If there is something that you believe in, a dream you want to go after or an aspiration you have always wanted to do – do it with all you’ve got. Learning and sense of accomplishment happens through the journey, not the end result.
Favorite quote: “If you can’t get through the front door, go through the back.” This quote has meant so much to me throughout my life – and embodies the message that if you can’t accomplish something through the conventional route due to obstacles in your way, to keep trying and you will be sure to reach your goals regardless (even if it is in a different way!).
Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: I am also fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
What makes someone fabulous: What makes someone truly fabulous is their confidence in themselves to embrace their individuality by disregarding conventional norms. I am a true believer in dancing to the beat of your own drum – and to authentically and unapologetically embrace yourself!
