Hotel del Coronado has unveiled its latest restaurant, The Laundry Pub. This establishment, which opened in early March, promises a fusion of classic American pub-style cuisine, a carefully curated selection of local beers from San Diego’s top breweries and an array of nostalgic games.
Located inside the charming Hotel del Coronado, The Laundry Pub has emerged as the newest neighborhood eatery. Within its historic setting, originally constructed in 1919, guests can indulge in a menu that pays homage to timeless pub favorites. Notably, The Laundry Pub is set in the remnants of the property’s original laundry facility, complete with preserved conveyor system tacks and signage dating back to 1925.
Among the standout offerings at The Laundry Pub are signature dishes that promise to evoke a sense of nostalgia. The Cluck & Waff is a delectable combination of crispy buttermilk fried chicken, a pecan-and-bacon waffle topped with a rosemary-infused agave and sweet peach butter. The Nashville Hot Cycle Bun features crispy chicken topped with coleslaw, house pickles and fermented Padre’s hot sauce, served on a soft brioche bun. Indulge in Worth the Quarters, which includes crispy pork belly glazed with gochujang, garnished with cilantro and toasted peanuts, accompanied by carrot daikon slaw, pickled cucumber and crying tiger sauce.
Complementing the menu at The Laundry Pub is an impressive selection of brews sourced from some of San Diego’s finest, including Lagunitas, Stone, Coronado Brewing Company, Ale Smith, Karl Strauss, Pizza Port, Eppig, Mother Earth and Mike Hess.
