The Trough aims to make lunchtime a breeze for everyone. Whether you’re a carnivore or a vegetarian, there is a sandwich with flair for you. Plus, despite its name, it’s not all sandwiches; the eatery boasts an incredible breakfast burrito and additional breakfast items, including a melt and quesadilla. And for all of the Los Angeles Angels fans, The Trough location is especially convenient as it is situated a stone’s throw from the stadium. Rather than get the same boring hot dog, we suggest stopping by The Trough to get one of its tasty sandwiches before your next game.
With sandwiches made with turkey, pastrami, chicken and pulled pork, your choice isn’t an easy one. We settled on the Pastrami Reuben and the Cali Cowboy, a customer favorite. The Pastrami Reuben is made with juicy pastrami, Swiss, coleslaw and Russian dressing stuffed between a crunchy cornmeal roll. The Cali Cowboy features roasted chicken breast, applewood-smoked bacon, leaf lettuce, tomato and ranch on soft sourdough. Both sandwiches are extremely flavorful and filling.
Every sandwich needs a side and drink. While chips and a soda might be the old standby, The Trough provides significant upgrades. We noshed on crispy tater tots and the biggest onion rings we’ve ever seen. You know it’s serious when you have to pour the ranch on top instead of dunking it! The restaurant also has loaded chili cheese tots and Philly tots in addition to fried zucchini and kale Caesar salad. After you’ve locked in your side, choose from a variety of beer and wine to complete your meal.
