Set Sail on San Diego Bay with the Maritime Museum Crew
If your sea legs could use a little stretching, try out an educational and entertaining on-the-water activity from the Maritime Museum of San Diego. Book a 45-minute narrated trip aboard the restored 1914 Pilot boat (offered daily) or a Naval History 75-minute narrated trip aboard the high-speed Vietnam-era PCF 816 Swift boat on the weekend. (Pilot tours are $10 additional with general admission ticket purchase; Swift boat rides are $15 additional.) On most weekends, the museum gives guests a choice of adventure sails aboard the official tall ship of the state–the schooner Californian–or the 16th century Spanish galleon replica San Salvador. Admission to tour all ships and exhibits are included with admission.
