Renowned restaurateur Nino Cusimano, celebrated for his leadership at the Rusticucina in Hillcrest, has opened his latest venture, Roman Wolves, in Little Italy. Roman Wolves, nestled at the corner of Fir and Kettner in the Broadstone building, pays homage to the culinary heritage of Rome, offering a vibrant bar and restaurant experience.
Upon entering Roman Wolves, guests are transported to the ancient streets of Rome with a contemporary twist, making it a delightful option for a casual lunch or a romantic date night. The interiors are designed to mimic the romance of Rome’s historic streets, creating an ambiance that distinguishes it from other establishments in the San Diego neighborhood.
Leading the kitchen is the talented Chef Enrico de Santis, who has curated a menu paying tribute to Roman gastronomy. Classics such as carbonara, amatriciana, cacio e pepe, pollo saltimbocca and pinsa alla mortazza (Roman-style folded pizzas) are all prepared to honor their Roman origins and using locally sourced ingredients.
Roman Wolves has a lively bar and lounge area with a thoughtfully curated cocktail menu that complements the rich flavors of Roman cuisine, featuring Italian aperitivi, premium spirits and house-made mixers. A signature spritz collection caters to those seeking refreshing and lower-ABV options. The beverage offerings are completed with approachable selection of wines and craft beers.

Roman Wolves will be open Monday to Thursday, from 4 to 10 p.m.; Friday, from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m.; Saturday, from 3 p.m. to 12 a.m.; and Sunday from 3 to 10 p.m. Lunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays, from 12 to 3 p.m. Happy hour specials are available Monday through Friday, from 4 to 6 p.m., and on Saturdays and Sundays, from 3 to 6 p.m.
