As if The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco could get even more luxurious, the resort launched the brand new Sips and the City Experience to provide guests with an immersive, once-in-a-lifetime Napa Valley wine visit.
From Aug. 4 to Nov. 12, guests of The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco are invited to book the new Sips and the City experience. In collaboration with Boisset Collection, guests have the exclusive opportunity to taste top-tier wines from select JCB Collection wineries, enjoy VIP transportation to and from the San Francisco hotel to Napa Valley wine country, two-nights in the grand Presidential Suite, and an dinner and wine pairing from the hotel’s Executive Chef Patrick O’Sullivan.

The resort’s Presidential Suite features a1,200-sq.-ft. city-view balcony, living spaces, in-suite dining space, marble baths, exclusive access to the Club Lounge and a master bedroom with a king-sized bed. On the day of check-in, guests of the Sips and the City Experience will savor a three-course tasting menu for two from Executive Chef Patrick O’Sullivan, each course paired with JCB Collection wines in The Lounge. The next day, it is off to Napa Valley wine country. Each stop on the itinerary lasts between 60 and 90 minutes.
Sips and the City itinerary in Napa Valley includes:
- Wine Tasting at “The Red Room” at Raymond Vineyards: The velvet-ensconced Red Room, lit by Baccarat chandeliers, is the ultimate Napa Valley escape from the hustle of the world outside. After a tour of Raymond Vineyards, enjoy a tasting flight of four wines in the Red Room lounge. Relax and enjoy the art of conversation or play cards or maybe even peruse their offering of unique books.
- Wine Tasting at “Pavilion the Green” at Elizabeth Spencer: Savor in the quintessential Wine Country experience while relaxing in the reserved Pavilion on the Rutherford Green. Enjoy Elizabeth Spencer wines while playing a variety of lawn games including croquet and cornhole.
- Lunch at Oakville Merchant + Oakville Grocery: Oakville Wine Merchant features more than 70 Napa Valley wines by the ounce, taste, glass or bottle. Experience the Napa Valley appellations; enjoy highly sought-after selections or discover a new wine. Sip and savor while enjoying your choice of an Oakville Grocery’s gourmet boxed lunch featuring artisanal sandwiches, salads, fresh fruit and a variety of freshly baked cookies.
- Champagne & Caviar at JCB Collection in Yountville: Indulge in the decadent lifestyle that is JCB. Curated and created by Jean-Charles Boisset, JCB Yountville is a captivating and luxurious wine experience to enlighten all the senses. Enjoy a decadent flight of expertly paired artisanal caviar and storied JCB champagnes and sparkling wines for a truly remarkable afternoon.
- Cabernet and Chocolate Pairing at Chateau Buena Vista: Experience the pinnacle of luxury in a world of treasured magic and whimsical ambiance. Savor Cabernet Sauvignon from four distinct appellations within Napa Valley that are paired to perfection with four handcrafted chocolates specifically created and curated by Earth and Sky Chocolates.
