The Arcade at Brew30–San Diego’s newest bar and arcade fusion concept, featuring 21 arcade and video games, 14 beers on tap and a limitless night of nostalgia–is now open for a limited time at Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego.
For those who have spent some time in the Downtown San Diego bar and food scene, Brew30 may sound familiar. Previously operating as a gastropub, Brew30 made its refreshed debut at the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego property as a bar-arcade concept earlier this summer.
Now, Brew30 guests have a cool pop-up to take part in, during a limited time. Transport back to the 80’s where bar-goers belted classic rock hits at the top of their lungs, the flickering of muted neon lights felt like home and beating the high score on Dig Dug was top priority. Welcome to The Arcade at Brew30.
Whether one is in town for a conference searching for the casual element of business casual or is a local rolling the dice on where the night goes, The Arcade at Brew30 cashes in on everyone’s nightlife needs. While millennials and Gen Xers immediately know the layout of the land, this interactive venue caters to kids and adults of all ages with photobooths, air hockey, pop-a-shot basketball hoops and more. From Buck Hunter to Jurassic Park or Ms. Packman to pinball, all that’s needed to get started is a few quarters.
It may sound like all fun and games, but racking up the points without the pints would be the first “L” a player would take. With 14 beers on tap and a full list of video game-inspired cocktails, one can choose their fighter from a wide breadth of options. The Crazy Taxi signature drink packs the punch with a concoction of tequila, orange juice and grenadine.
It’s also no secret that every gamer needs to refuel. While The Arcade at Brew30 focuses on the high pours and high scores, players can mobile-order munchies from MARKET | ONE, an on-property café, and other dining locations in the Seaport area. Nothing tastes better than serving up an air hockey win with a hearty burger or buffalo chicken pizza.
The pints and players aren’t the only entertainment at the arcade. Spectators can immerse in the retro-sports bar scene by catching the San Diego Padres or Wave game on one of the many surrounding big screens.
The Arcade at Brew30 is open daily for gaming from Monday through Sunday, 7 a.m. to midnight, with adult-only entry (21-plus) from 8 p.m. to midnight. Drink service is available Monday through Sunday, noon to midnight. The limited-edition concept that will run through Sept. 11, 2023.
