Sandbourne Santa Monica to Open Spring 2024

Alongside the picturesque Ocean Avenue, Sandbourne Santa Monica is set to redefine seaside hospitality upon its opening this spring. Sandborne Santa Monica is taking over the hotel space formerly known as Le Merigot Santa Monica.

The premier beachfront hotel promises a unique journey that transcends conventional hospitality, providing an experience crafted for tranquility. Renowned designer Gulla Jónsdóttir and her team are bringing this artful concept to life through a blend of woven fibers, soft linens, sleek features, contemporary art pieces and minimalist accents. The color palette mirrors the natural tones of the sand and sea, with vibrant hues reflecting the vivacity of city life.

“Sandbourne Santa Monica was a thrilling endeavor for us that required a blend of creativity, strategic planning and a deep understanding of the environment of the property – its location and the uniqueness of being a part of not just Santa Monica but Los Angeles,” says Jónsdóttir, in a recent press release.

Beyond captivating aesthetics, Sandbourne Santa Monica features direct beach access to Santa Monica Beach and Third Street Promenade. An upscale pool, lounge and cabanas offer the ideal setting for basking in the California sun, while the indoor/outdoor state-of-the-art fitness center caters to guests who enjoy being active on vacation. Expansive event spaces provide an ideal venue for large gatherings, with plans for a full-service wellness spa in 2025.
