Kobe Bryant Art Exhibit at W Los Angeles – West Beverly Hills

In celebration of the unveiling of the Kobe Bryant statue at Crypto.com Arena, W Los Angeles – West Beverly Hills launched a new art gallery experience honoring the legendary NBA star.

The Los Angeles Lakers unveiled a statue in Star Plaza of franchise legend Kobe Bryant in an emotional ceremony at Crypto.Com Arena on Thursday, Feb. 8. Bryant was an 18-time NBA All-Star during his 20-year career with the Lakers. He is only the seventh player in franchise history to be commemorated with a statue, joined by Elgin Baylor, Shaquille O’Neal, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, Jerry West and Chick Hearn.

W Los Angeles — West Beverly Hills is also paying homage to the iconic late athlete with the curation of an immersive gallery experience, highlighting local artwork of the basketball player from various artists.

The hotel’s artist-in-residence, Mary Lai, created a Kobe-inspired piece of art on display in the exhibit, in addition to creating prints of the art given to hotel guests who stayed the weekend of the unveiling.

Other local artists featured in the Kobe Bryant art exhibit at W Los Angeles — West Beverly Hills include Vakseen, Paul Normansell, Alepsis Hernandez and Las Chicas Peligrosas.

The Kobe Bryant art exhibit is open to the public at W Los Angeles – West Beverly Hills 24 hours a day, seven days a week through the month of February.
